An original acrylic and mixed media painting on canvas, photographed in natural light. More photographs and details available on request.
This particular body of work attempts to create a dialogue around the human/animal relationship, informed by poetry and personal experience with an emphasis on those magical momentary glimpses of a Barn Owl, the barely heard hoot of a Tawny Owl or the distant flock of lapwings or Curlews whilst passing an estuary. Set against our contemporary world, watching pristine wading birds picking through plastic on the strandline or standing under a cloud of 200,000 starlings and trying to ignore the roar of the busy rush hour road close by, that white noise, tumultuous landscape, of wind turbines, power cables, plastic, roads and cars which is navigated by wildlife on a daily basis.
